Questions from schools and colleges
Is wired glass safety glass?
Not necessarily. Ordinary wired glass can break into sharp pieces held by the wire, and unless it is marked as meeting a safety standard it should be treated as unsafe in critical locations.
Can work be done during term time?
Small jobs can be done with areas closed off, but most schools prefer holidays or weekends for larger glazing work.
Can film make existing glass safer?
Some safety films are tested to impact standards when applied to particular glass. We check the glass and the film's evidence before recommending it.
Can you survey a whole site?
Yes. We can survey and list every pane in critical locations, with a priced schedule to replace or upgrade them.
