Insurer conditions
Insurers may set conditions for high-value items. Share their wording so the case meets it.
Locks and hinges
Strong glass behind a weak lock is no upgrade. We check and upgrade locks at the same time.
Consents and safety: Northern Ireland
Glazing in workplaces
The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 contain an equivalent requirement to Great Britain's: windows and transparent surfaces in walls, partitions, doors and gates must be of safety material or protected where health or safety requires it, and marked so they are apparent. The employer's risk assessment decides where.
Insurer requirements
Insurers set their own conditions for premises, stock and cash in Northern Ireland, and may name a glazing class in the policy. Get the wording in writing before ordering. The insurer decides whether the glass meets it, and the glass manufacturer's test evidence comes with our quote.

Display case security glass in Carrickfergus: questions
Do you cover Holywood as well as Carrickfergus?
Yes. As well as Carrickfergus, we can arrange surveys in nearby Holywood, Newtownabbey and Bangor. Dates depend on installer availability.
Will laminated glass cut UV on displayed items?
Laminated glass blocks most UV light, which helps reduce fading of fabrics, papers and labels.
Can you reglaze our existing display cases?
Usually. We measure each panel and fit laminated glass to the existing case if the frame and fixings are sound.
Does anti-reflective glass make a difference?
Under spotlights, yes. It reduces reflections so items can be seen clearly from more angles.
