How much do counter and reception security screens cost in Deeside?
Budget £1,295 to £6,995 plus VAT (£1,554 to £8,394 inc VAT) per counter for counter and reception security screens in Deeside, supplied and fitted. Larger panes, thicker makeups and difficult access cost more; the price is fixed in writing after the survey.
A counter security screen is a framed glass screen fitted along a counter or reception desk, with a speech panel and a transaction tray, so staff can serve people face to face while separated from them by laminated, anti-bandit or bullet-resistant glass. The protection level is set by a risk assessment of the site.

Things to decide before you order
Protection level
Choose laminated for deterrence, anti-bandit for tool attack or bullet-resistant where a threat assessment calls for it. Everything else is built to match.
Continuity
Rated glass next to an unrated counter front or plasterboard wall leaves a gap. We protect the whole line.
Rules that apply in Wales
Insurer requirements
Insurers in Wales, as elsewhere, can set conditions for premises, stock and cash, sometimes naming a BS EN 356 class for shop or counter glass. Get the policy wording in writing before ordering. The insurer decides whether the glass meets it, and the glass manufacturer's test evidence comes with our quote.
Glazing in workplaces
Regulation 14 of the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 applies in Wales. Windows and transparent surfaces in walls, partitions, doors and gates must be of safety material or protected against breakage where health or safety requires it, and marked so they are apparent. The employer's risk assessment decides where that applies.
How it works
- Send sizes or use the quote tool
- Free survey at your Deeside address
- Fixed price in writing
- Glass made, then fitted
Counter and reception security screens in Deeside: questions
Do you cover Hawarden as well as Deeside?
Yes. As well as Deeside, we can arrange surveys in nearby Hawarden, Buckley and Mold. Dates depend on installer availability.
Do counter screens need planning permission?
Internal screens do not normally need planning permission. In listed buildings, listed building consent may be needed for fixings into historic fabric.
Do the trays weaken the screen?
They should not. Transaction trays are designed so there is no straight path through, and their level should match the glass.
Can you add a screen to our existing counter?
Usually, if the counter is strong enough. We check its construction and include strengthening where needed.
